Private Tutoring
Past students of mine tutor and work along side of me with their own clients and or patients while I am working with my own clients or patients. As we work you will gain more skill, guidance and experience as well as hone in your techniques and I will be right there for you to shadow or ask questions of. And if you have a certain area you would like to focus your tutoring session on, just let me know when you are scheduling with me.
These sessions typically go 30 minutes past the normal massage times so your recipients will need to be aware of this. Students will also need to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early to be prepared to learn and work with their own recipient and approximately 15 minutes after the massage to clean up the studio. So for example, a 60 minute massage will be closer to 90 minutes most of the time until you have become more proficient and comfortable and then you will need to add an additional 45 minutes to an hour, making the time spent in my studio to be approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.
Your clients and or patients will be getting body work from you and will feel the benefits of a good Thai massage after their bodywork sessions. Some students charge their clients or patients their normal hourly massage rate for the massage they will be receiving and others give their clients a discount or do not charge them at all. You can choose how you want for your recipients to pay or not for the bodywork they will be receiving from you. That is up to your discretion and responsibility to arrange for payment or not, outside of the tutoring sessions.
Both of our recipients will be passive and quiet except to keep in contact with us to adjust for pressure and depth of stretches as in a normal bodywork session.
Clothing for working is the same for you as it is for the clients and or patient; long (or below the knee) gym pants that are stretchy and a T-shirt or long sleeved shirt with a crew neck collar. Both pants and top need to be made of non see-through material.
There is a limited amount of space and time for students to take advantage of this opportunity so students who want to be tutored need to be consistent in coming to the agreed upon sessions and ready to learn and work professionally with their clients and or patients.
For more information or to set up your times, please contact me through text or by calling or me; Selina ~ (509) 599-8172
